Set the choke lever (4):

Put your hedge trimmer on firm
ground.
For cold start to

Remove the blade scabbard.

Make sure that the cutting blades
are not touching the ground or any
other obstacles.

Make sure you have a firm footing.
Place your left foot on the housing.
Hold the unit firmly on the ground
with your left hand on the control
handle.

Observe safety precautions
Start as follows
:
Move the blade lock lever (1)
to z
:
Press fuel pump bulb (5) at least five
:
:
Move the slide control (2) to #
times – even if bulb is filled with fuel.
Squeeze the throttle trigger (3) and
move the slide control to START at
the same time.
:
:
Release the throttle trigger.
Let go of the slide control, this is
the starting throttle position.
