Oil Quantity
Control
Pull off the spark plug boot.
Unscrew and dry off the spark plug.-
Set the Master Control lever to d
Press down the throttle trigger
interlock, open the throttle fully and,
at the same time, crank the engine
several times with the starter to
clear the combustion chamber.
Refit the spark plug and connect
the spark plug boot -

At very low outside temperatures:
Allow engine to warm up
reassemble all other parts
Different quantities of oil are required for
different bar lengths, types of wood and
cutting techniques.
Set Master Control lever
to "Warm Start"=n
As soon as the engine runs:
Blip the throttle trigger to disengage
even if engine is cold.
Press in decompression valve
again.
it from starting throttle position -
Master Control lever will move
to normal operating position -
engine settles down to idle speed.
Use the adjusting screw (1) to vary the
oil feed rate as required.
Now start the engine.
Most economic setting -
Disengage chain brake:
Fuel tank run until dry and then
refueled
turn adjusting screw to "E"
(Ematic position).
Pull hand guard toward front handle -
as shown in illustration -
Press in decompression valve
To increase oil feed -
Open throttle slightly -
again.
turn adjusting screw clockwise.
To reduce oil feed -
warm up engine for short period.
Pull starter rope several times until
Change over to winter operation
fuel line is primed.
turn adjusting screw counterclockwise.
if necessary -
see section "Winter Operation".
If engine doesn’t start:
If you did not move the Master Control
lever to "Warm Start" n quickly enough
after the engine began to fire, the
combustion chamber has flooded.
Turn the knob above the rear
handle counterclockwise -
