Replacing a Broken Starter Rope

Ease the cap (5) out of the starter
grip.
:

Thread the rope through the rotor
and secure it with a simple
overhand knot.
The rewind spring may pop out and
uncoil during this operation. Take
care to avoid injury.
Remove remaining rope from the
rotor and grip.
Coat rope rotor bearing bore with
non-resinous oil – see "Special
Accessories".
Tie a simple overhand knot in the
new rope – see “Specifications” –
and then thread it through the top of
the grip and the rope bush (6).

Remove the screws (1).
Lift away the fan housing.
Remove the spring clip (2).
Slip rotor over starter post – turn it
back and forth to engage anchor
loop of rewind spring.
Carefully remove the rope rotor with
:
Refit the cap in the grip.
washer (3) and pawl (4).

Refit the pawl (4).
Fit the washer (3).
Install spring clip (2) on starter post
and engage it on the pawl's peg –
the spring clip must point clockwise.

You get what you paid for have FS 120 trimmer running like today I got it . If you maintain them and clean them after use they will last forever definitely would buy another one
