Assembly
Before Starting
Securing Extension Cord
Note: Refer to Figures section at the back of the manual.
Use only a UL listed (CSA certified in Canada) extension cord
recommended for outdoor use. Refer to Extension Cord Chart on
page 1.
Note: Always turn off unit and unplug from electrical outlet
before adding or switching attachments.
Blower

Secure extension cord in cord lock  (Fig. 12 & 13).
Make sure the extension cord is fully seated on inlet plug.

Slide tube onto blower outlet until tabs on tube snap into latch
(Fig. 2).

Install inlet cover. Inlet cover must be securely locked into
position, activating interlock switch, before blower will operate
(Fig. 1).
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Note: Blower tube must be attached to housing when operating  in
the blower mode.
The extension cord may not be fully seated on inlet
plug.
Note: Noise reduction is achieved in blower mode only.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
A loosely connected extension cord could lead to
overheating and cause a fire.
Vacuum
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD

Grasp inlet cover and rotate it counterclockwise to remove
(Fig. 1).
Make sure the extension cord is fully seated on inlet
plug and ALWAYS USE THE CORD LOCK
FEATURE to ensure that cord remains secured during
operation (Fig. 12 & 13).
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Note: Do not unplug extension cord by pulling on cord. To
unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
Motor impeller rotates for a few seconds after blower
is turned off.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Rotating impeller can cut or injure fingers.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Operation
Never remove inlet cover when motor is operating or
when unit is plugged in.
This appliance is intended for household use only.

Assemble vacuum tubes by pressing tubes together (Fig. 3).
Line up arrows on outside of tubes to ensure correct assembly.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Hold vacuum tubes vertically and place blower inlet over top
of tube (Fig. 4). Tubes will only fit one way in blower inlet.
Debris can be blown by unit in operator’s or
bystander’s direction.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Rotate unit clockwise until pointer on vacuum tube aligns with
pointer on housing (Fig. 5, 6 & 7).
Flying debris can cause serious personal injury to
operator or bystanders.
Note: Vacuum tube and housing pointers must be aligned at locked
position before blower will operate.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Never blow hard objects such as nails, bolts and rocks.
Always wear safety goggles or other suitable eye
protection, long pants and shoes while operating unit.
Never operate unit near bystanders or pets.
Use extra care when cleaning debris from stairs or
tight areas.

Tighten Velcro strap to secure bag to collar (Fig. 8). Close bag
zipper. Bag should appear as shown in Figure 9 when correctly
assembled.
Note: Attaching the bag to the collar is a onetime assembly.

Slide bag collar onto blower housing outlet until tabs on bag
collar snap into latch (Fig. 10).
