Optional accessories may have been shipped with
your mower or are available from your Authorized
Lawn-Boy Dealer. For proper installation follow
these instructions.

Place chute assembly into housing opening
(Fig. 42).
Two shoulder bolts on the mower housing
protrude through slotted holes in the chute
assembly and do not have to be loosened or
removed. Chute assembly moves over the
shoulder bolts.

POTENTIAL HAZARD

An uncovered discharge opening will allow
objects to be thrown in operator’s or
bystander’s direction. Also, contact with
blade could occur.

Thrown objects or blade contact can cause
serious injury.

HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD

Never operate mower unless cover plate,
mulch plate or grass chute and catcher are
installed.

Stop engine and disconnect spark plug wire
(Fig. 41) before installing or removing grass
chute.

Insert chute support rod through hole at right
rear of deck (Fig. 43).

Slide chute assembly in a clockwise direction to
install or counterclockwise to remove.
