Engine Fails to start
1. Fuel tank empty, or stale fuel.
1. Fill tank with clean fresh gasoline.
2. Mix new fuel at a ratio of 50:1.
3. Clean fuel line.

. Improper fuel mixture.
. Blocked fuel line.
. Key not in ON position.
. Spark plug wire disconnected.
. Faulty spark plug.
4. Insert key and turn to ON position.
5. Connect wire to spark plug.
6. Clean spark plug, readjust gap, or replace.
7. Prime engine four times.
. Engine not primed.
. Engine flooded from excessive priming.
8. Wait at least ten minutes before starting.

Engine runs erratic
1. Unit running on choke.

. Fuel line blocked, or stale fuel.
2. Clean fuel line and fill tank with fresh, clean

Excessive vibration
1. Loose parts or damaged auger.
1. Stop engine immediately and disconnect
spark plug wire. Check for possible damage.
Tighten all bolts and nuts. Repair as needed.
If the problem persists, take unit to an
authorized service dealer.
Unit fails to self-propel
1. Drive cable out of adjustment.
1. Adjust auger control cable as shown in
Maintanence and Adjustments section.

. Drive belt loose or damaged.
2. Replace drive belt.
Augers continue to rotate
Unit fails to discharge snow
1. Cable out of adjustment.
1. Adjust auger control cable as shown in
Maintenance and Adjustments section.
1. Chute assembly clogged.
1. Stop engine and disconnect spark plug wire.
Clean chute and inside of auger housing with
clean-out tool or stick.

. Shear pin sheared.
2. Replace shear pin.
. Foreign object lodged in auger.
3. Stop engine immediately and disconnect the
spark plug wire. Remove object from auger.

. Auger control cable out of adjustment.
. Auger belt loose or damaged.
4. Adjust auger control cable.
5. Replace auger belt.
