Always stop the engine and make sure
that the tool has come to a standstill
before starting any maintenance, repair
or cleaning work on the machine. Only
carry out the maintenance and repairs
described in the owner's manual. Have
any other work undertaken by your
STIHL service dealer.

The MultiEngine with rotor blades
can be operated forwards (1) or
backwards (2).
Which direction of movement and which
type of rotor is the most advantageous
depends on the application and service
conditions. Rough guide:
Wear gloves when working on the
blades.

Never attempt to repair damaged tools
by welding, straightening or modifying
the shape. This may cause parts of the
tool to come off and result in serious or
fatal injuries.
Tighten all nuts, bolts and screws -
except the carburetor adjusting screws -
before each use.

Work alternately forwards and

Move bike handle into working
backwards

On loose soil

Store the MultiTool in a dry place out of
reach of children.
Use the bolo tines
Rotor blades
Work uniformly forwards or
Always empty the fuel tank before
backwards
storing the machine for more than a few
days. Refer to the chapter "Storage" in
the owner's manual for the MultiEngine.
MultiTools with rotor blades are available
in two versions:
Pick tines
The rotor blades may only be operated
in one position. Arrows on the rotors
indicate the required direction of
rotation, refer to "Mounting the
MultiTool".
