OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS

Useanappropriateextensioncordtoconnecttopower.

Sincetheunitisdouble-insulated,a2-wireextensioncord(an
extensioncordwithoutaground)maybeused.A3-wire
extensioncord(anextensioncordwithaground)thatusesa
NEMA-typeconnector(parallelblade,Uground)is
recommended.Extensioncordsareavailablefromyourlocal
retailer.Useonlyround-jacketedextensioncordsapprovedfor
outdooruseandmarked“SuitableForUseWithOutdoorUse
Appliances-StoreIndoorsWhileNotInUse”.
CORDSETS:Makesureyourcordsetisingoodcondition,
withacordthatisheavyenoughtocarrythecurrentthatyour
unitwilldraw.Anundersizedcordsetwillcauseadropinline
voltageresultinginalossofpower,aswellasoverheating.The
tableshowbelowillustratesthecorrectsizetousedepending
onthecordlengthandnameplateamperagerating.Ifindoubt,
usethenextheaviersizelinegauge.Thesmallerthegauge
number,theheavierthecord.Topreventthecordfrom
disconnectingfromtheunit,usethecordhookshowninthe
OperatingInstructions.
WARNING:
Toreducetheriskofelectricshock,this
unithasapolarizedplug(onebladeiswiderthanthe
other).Theoutdoorextensioncordusedwiththeunit
mustalsobepolarized.Theplugontheextensioncord
willfitintotheunitonlyoneway.Iftheplugdoesn’tfit
fullyintotheunit,reversetheplug.Ifitdoesnotfit,use
acordwithacorrectconnection.Ifthecorddoesnotfit
intothepowersupplyoutlet,contactaqualified
