Makesurethevacuumbagstrapisadjustedtoallowafree
flowofairfromthevacuumbagelbowtube(Fig.19).Ifthebag
iskinked,theunitwillnotoperateproperly.

Carefullyremovematerialblockingtheimpeller.Inspectthe
bladestoassurenodamagehasoccurred.Rotatetheblades
byhandtoassuretheblockageiscompletelycleared.

Replacethevacuumbagandvacuumtubes.
Reconnecttopowersourceandresumeuse.
WARNING:
Toavoidseriouspersonalinjury,donot
wearloosefittingclothingorarticlessuchasscarves,
strings,chains,ties,etc.,becausetheycouldgetdrawn
intotheairintake.Alsomakesurelonghairdoesnot
getdrawnintotheairintake.Longhairmustbepulled
backandsecuredoffshouldersandneck.

PushtheswitchtotheOFFpositionanddisconnectthe
Blower/Vacuumfromthepowersource.
Useasmallbrushortheairdischargeofavacuumcleaner
brushtokeeptheairventsfreeofobstructions.
Donotuseanystrongdetergentsontheplastichousingor
plasticcomponents.Thosepartscanbedamagedbycertain
householdcleanersthatcontainaromaticoilssuchaspineand
lemon,andbysolventssuchaskerosene.Moisturecanalso
causeashockhazard.Wipeoffanymoisturewithasoftcloth.
Holdthevacuum,tiltingthesuctiontubeslightly,andusea
sweepingactiontocollectlightdebris(Fig.16).Thedebriswillflow
intothevacuumbag.Thingssuchassmallleavesandsmalltwigs
willbemulchedastheypassthroughthefanhousing,allowingthe
vacuumbagtoholdalotofdebris.
CLEANINGTHEVACUUMBAG
Whenthebagisfull,suctionwillnoticeablydecrease.Turnoffand
unplugtheunitbeforeyouemptythebag.Disconnectthebagfrom
theunit. Unzipthebagandemptythecontentsbeforecontinuing.

Emptythebagaftereachusetoavoiddeteriorationand
obstructingairflow,whichwillreducetheperformanceofthe
vacuum.
Wearingeyeprotectionandadustmask,cleanthebagas
needed.Turnthebaginsideoutafterinitialemptyingand
vigorouslyshakeoutdustanddebris.
WARNING:
Toavoidseriouspersonalinjury,never
disconnectthevacuumbagwithoutfirstturning
offandunpluggingtheunit.
Washthebagonceayearormoreoftenifneededasfollows:

WARNING:
Asavacuum,theunitisdesignedtopick
updrymaterialsuchasleaves,grass,smalltwigsand
bitsofpaper.Toavoidseriouspersonalinjury,donot
attempttovacuumwetdebrisand/orstandingwateras
thismayresultindamagetotheBlower/Vacuumand
possibleelectricshock.Toavoidseveredamagetothe
impeller,donotvacuummetal,brokenglass,etc.
Reinstallvacuumbagelbowtube(Fig.10).
INSPECTIONOFEXTENSIONCORDS
Inspectallextensioncordsperiodically.Lookcloselyfordeterioration,
cutsorcracksintheinsulation.Alsoinspecttheconnectorsfor
damage.Replacethecordsifanydefectsordamageappear.
WARNING:
Whentheupperandlowervacuum
tubesareremoved,makesurethevacuumdooris
snappedclosedbeforepluggingintheunit,toavoid
injuryfromtheimpeller.
STORAGEINSTRUCTIONS
Storetheunitindoors,awayfrommoistureandharmfulsubstances
suchasfertilizersandsolvents.Storeinadryandhighorlocked-
upplace,outofthereachofchildren.
WARNING:
Toavoidseriouspersonalinjury,besure
theunitisoffandunpluggedbeforecleaningor
performinganymaintenanceonit.
