The stop pin or screwdriver (2) are either
supplied with the machine or available
as special accessories.
Mounting the Cutting
Attachment
The new machine comes from the
factory wirth the cutting attachment
already mounted.
N
Insert the stop pin (2) or
screwdriver (2) in the hole (3) in the
gearbox as far as stop – and apply
slight pressure.
Note the following points when mounting
other approved cutting attachments –
see "Approved Combinations of Cutting
Attachment, Deflector, Handle,
Harness":

Rotate nut or cutting attachment on
the shaft until the stop pin slips into
position and blocks the shaft.

Position the deflector against the
gearbox so that the lug (3) engages
the recess (4) in the deflector.
Mounting the cutting attachment
Insert the screw (5) and tighten it
down firmly.
Preparations
Use a deflector that matches the
cutting attachment – see
"Mounting the Deflector".

Go to "Mounting the Mowing Head"
or "Mounting the Metal Cutting
Attachment".
Mounting the mowing head
Keep the instruction sheet for the
mowing head in a safe place.

Lay your brushcutter on its back so
that the cutting attachment
mounting face is facing up.
STIHL SuperCut 20-2,
STIHL AutoCut 25-2,
STIHL AutoCut C 25-2,
Block the shaft.

The output shaft (1) must be blocked
with the stop pin (2) or screwdriver (2) to
mount or remove cutting attachments.
