Cleaning the Air Filter
Always replace damaged parts!

Install the metal screen in the filter
housing first and then the foam
element.

Close the filter cover and tighten
down the screw.

Dirty air filters reduce engine power
increase fuel consumption and make
starting more difficult.

Remove the foam element (3).
Remove the metal screen (4) from
the filter housing (5) only if it is dirty.
If there is a noticeable loss of engine
power
Knock out the filter element and
metal screen on the palm of your
hand, blow out with compressed air
or, if necessary, wash in a clean,
non-flammable solution (e.g. warm
soapy water) and then dry.

Move the choke lever to g.
Release screw (1) and remove the
filter cover (2).

Clean away loose dirt from around
the filter.
