Output Switch Operation
The 3-position switches provided on the station  output
module enables local control of the station  and master valve*
output.
Figure 7
*Note: The master  valve terminal and switch are functional only
on station output module number 1.
The switch positions are as follows:
ON Manually activates the terminal. The terminal will remain on
until the switch is moved to the AUTO or OFF position. An indicator
LED will illuminate when the switch is on the ON position.
OFF Shuts off the terminal. The terminal will be inoperative
(for both automatic and manual operation) while the switch is in
the OFF position.
AUTO Enables the terminal to be automatically controlled during
automatic or manual operation.
Caution:To  prevent controller damage, do not operate
more than six stations concurrently (1.75A total  load
maximum) during either manual or automatic operation.
Alarm and Sensor Connections
The Alarm Switch is designed to monitor a  dry contact switch
and the alarm functionality is programmable in  the system
software. The Alarm Switch input can be programmed to  start or
stop programs of your choice and even  follow the contact status
if desired.
Figure 8
The "Flow Signal" is designed to read  "shorting pulse output"
from a Data Industrial flow meter (or  equivalent). Or, if a rain
tipping bucket or evapotranspiration (ET) gauge is  used, this
would to be a normally open contact  type. The controller
measures the timing of the contact closures  to determine if
it is a flow pulse, rain pulse  or ET pulse.

Connect a wire pair to the alarm  switch and/ or flow measuring device and route into the  controller through 1/2" conduit.
Connect the wire pair to the appropriate  terminals as shown in Figure 8.
Operation
The Map To Universal satellite controller does  utilize a keypad or display for operation. All control functions are processed  by
a designated Sentinel Satellite controller. Use the  following procedure at the controlling satellite for Map to Universal  set up.
The Map to Universal satellite must first  have a unique 3-digit identification code or address. You may  select any (unassigned)
three digit code from 000 to 999.  Select the Unit Code menu option. Position the cursor using  the Right and Left arrow keys
under the digit being edited. Use the  number keys on the keypad to edit, them press ENTER  key to save after editing.
Next, select the Map to Universal  menu item which will allow you to map (or link) selected  stations of a host Sentinel Satellite
to selected stations of a Map To  Universal satellite. During operation, the mapped host satellite station and  the corresponding
station of the Map to Universal control  unit will be turned on and off by the program  control of the host satellite. Use the Up
and Down arrow keys to select the  host satellite station number that you want to map to.  Use the Right arrow key to place the
cursor under the 3-digit field, then key  in the address of the Map to Universal satellite control  unit. The cursor will jump to the
2-digit
field for the station number being mapped  to. Use the Up and Down arrow key to select  the desired station number of
the Map to Universal control unit. Press  ENTER to save the mapping information. Repeat this procedure for  each satellite
station you wish to map.
