Install RIGHT and LEFT collar.
9. Install compression springs under the pawls (Fig.
198).
Note: The top flanges of the shift collars have “left”
and “right” stamped into them (Fig. 196).
Install accordingly on the right and left ends of
the shaft with the shift brace plate oriented as
shown (Fig. 197).
