ATTACHING THE BUMPER
NOTE: CHAIN BRAKE MUST BE DIS-
ENGAGED BEFORE IT CAN BE RE-
MOVED OR INSTALLED ON THE
CHAIN SAW. TO DISENGAGE CHAIN
BRAKE, PULL THE FRONT HAND
GUARD BACK TOWARD THE REAR
OF THE CHAIN BRAKE AS FAR AS
POSSIBLE (SEE ILLUSTRATION).
SPIKE (If not already attached)
The bumper spike may be used as a pivot
when making a cut.

Loosenandremovebar knobcompletely
by lifting lever and turning counterclock-
wise.

Remove clutch cover.
Attach the bumper spike with the two
screws as illustrated.
