Skid Shoes
Thespacebetweentheskidshoesandthegroundcan
beadjusted. SeeFigure5.

For closesnowremoval onasmoothsurface, raise
skidshoeshigher ontheauger housing.
Useamiddleor lower positionwhentheareatobe
clearedisuneven, suchasagravel driveway.
Toadjust theskidshoes:
1.
Loosenthefour hexnuts(twooneachside) and
carriagebolts. Moveskidshoestodesiredposition.
2.
Makecertaintheentirebottomsurfaceof skidshoeis
against thegroundtoavoidunevenwear ontheskid
shoes.
3.
Retightennutsandboltssecurely.
Chute Bracket Adjustment

If thespiral at thebottomof thechutedirectional control
isnot fullyengagingwiththechuteassembly, thechute
bracket canbeadjusted. Todoso:
1.
loosenthetwonutswhichsecurethechutebracket
andrepositionit slightly. SeeFigure6.

Retighteningthenuts.
Loosegravel canbepicked
upandthrownbytheauger,
causinginjurytotheoperator
andbystandersand/or
damagetothesnowthrower
andsurroundingproperty.
Tire Pressure
Beforeoperating, checktirepressureandreducepres-
suretobetween15psi and20psi.
If thetirepressureisnot equal inbothtires, theunit may
pull toonesideor theother.
