Starting / Stopping
the Engine
:
Hold the unit with your left hand and
press it down firmly –
your thumb should be under the
housing
Do not stand or kneel on the drive
tube!
If the engine has been started in the
START position, the cutting tool
may start up as soon as the engine
is running. For this reason, the unit
should not be operated in the
starting throttle position any
longer than is necessary.
The rest of the starting procedure is
described in the instruction manual for
the basic power unit or CombiEngine.

Starting the engine
:
Push the slide control in the
direction of the arrow ( h ) to
STOP – O or set the Stop switch
to O .
Always follow the instructions given for
the basic power unit or CombiEngine
when starting!

Press the bar on the spring hook (1)
and pull the carrying ring (2) out of
the hook.
:
Place the unit on the ground: it must
rest securely on the engine support
and deflector protecting the cutting
tool. Check that the cutting tool does
not touch the ground or any other
obstacles!

Make sure you have a firm footing.
