Removetheflat washer andhairpinclipfromtheend
of thechutedirectional control.

Insert theendof thechutedirectional control intothe
lower bracket andsecurewiththeflat washer andhair-
pinclipjust removed. If necessary, thelower bracket
canbeadjusted. Refer toChuteBracket Adjustment.

Adjustments
Auger Control
IMPORTANT: Prior tooperatingyour snowthrower, refer
toAuger Control Test onpage11. Readandfollowall
instructionscarefullyandperformall adjustmentstoverify
your snowthrower isoperatingsafelyandproperly.
Skid Shoes
IMPORTANT: It isnot recommendedthat youoperate
thissnowthrower ongravel asloosegravel canbeeasily
pickedupandthrownbytheauger causingpersonal
injuryor damagetothesnowthrower.
IMPORTANT
Prior to operating your
snow thrower, refer
to Auger Control Test
on page 11. Read and
follow all instructions
carefully and perform
all adjustments to verify
your snow thrower is
operating safely and
properly.
Thesnowthrower skidshoesareadjustedupwardat the
factoryfor shippingpurposes. Adjust themdownward, if
desired, prior tooperatingthesnowthrower. Refer toSkid
Shoesonpage13.
NOTE: If youchoosetooperatethesnowthrower on
agravel surface, keeptheskidshoesinpositionfor
maximumclearancebetweenthegroundandtheshave
plate.
Tire Pressure
Beforeoperating, checktirepressureandreducepres-
sureinbothtirestobetween15psi and20psi.
NOTE: If thetirepressureisnot equal inbothtires, the
unit maynot travel inastraight pathandtheshaveplate
maywear unevenly.
