additional chain braking system. This
system is designed to activate the chain
brake when you remove your right hand
completely from the rear handle.
Since the mechanisms are different for
(1.)
inertia or manual activation by
means of the front hand guard and (2.)
activation by means of the rear handle,
there will be a difference in elapsed time
before the chain comes to a stop.
Activation by means of the front hand
guard is designed to stop the chain
within a fraction of a second. The rear
handle activating mechanism, on the
other hand, is designed to stop the rota-
tion of the chain within approximately
one-second after release of the rear
handle.
