Gearbox Wheel
Removing the skirt
:
Pull end (5) of skirt out from under
the lip on the deflector.
Have a worn wheel replaced by your
dealer. STIHL recommends that you
have all maintenance and repair work
performed by a STIHL servicing dealer.

Loosen the screw (1) on the
clamp (2) and slide the clamp back
along the drive tube in the direction
of the engine.

The wheel helps protect the
gearbox from wear. If the gearbox
wheel is worn, also check the wear
guard (arrow) and the gearbox for
signs of damage – see “Checking
and Replacing the Wear Guard”.

Pull the skirt upward until the slot (6)
is visible.
:
Release screws (3) on arm (4) and
remove together with arm.
