To Stop Engine
Operating Tips
1. Dischargesnowdownwindwhenever possible.
Slightlyoverlapeachpreviouslyclearedpath.
1. Tostopengine, turnignitionkeycounter-clockwise.
Disconnect thesparkplugwirefromthesparkplug
toprevent accidental startingwhileequipment is
unattended.
Tohelpprevent possiblefreeze-upof starter,
proceedasfollows:

Liftinguponthehandlewill allowtherubber onthe
augerstopropel thesnowthrower forward. Pushing
downwardonthehandlewill raisetheaugersoff the
groundandstopforwardmotion.
Operation

Runenginefor afewminutesbeforestoppingtohelp
dryoff anymoistureontheengine.
NOTE: Excessiveupwardpressureonthehandlewill
result inprematurewear ontherubber auger blades
whichwouldnot becoveredbywarranty.

ElectricStarter(optional): Connect power cordto
switchboxonengine, thento120volt ACreceptacle.
Withtheenginerunning, pushstarter buttonandspin
thestarter for several seconds. Theunusual sound
madebyspinningthestarter will not harmengineor
starter. Disconnect thepower cordfromreceptacle
first, andthenfromswitchbox.

Runtheenginefor afewminutesbeforestoppingto
helpdryanymoistureontheengine.
4. Cleanthesnowthrower thoroughlyafter eachuse.

RecoilStarter:Withenginerunning,pullstarterrope
witharapid,continuousfullarmstrokethreeorfour
times.Pullingthestarterropewillproducealoudclatter-
ingsound,whichisnotharmfultotheengineorstarter.
Muffler, engine and
surrounding areas
become hot and
can cause a burn.
Do not touch.
Wipeall snowandmoisturefromthecarburetor cover
intheareaof thecontrol levers. Also, movecontrol
leversbackandforthseveral times. Leavechoke
control intheFULLchokeposition.
Removeignitionkeyanddisconnect sparkplugwireto
prevent accidental starting.
Operating the Snow Thrower
Thepitchof thechuteassemblycontrolstheangleat
whichthesnowisthrown. Adjust thechuteassemblyby
followingtheinstructionsbelow.
IMPORTANT:

chuteassemblyandpivot theupper chuteupwardor
downwardtothedesiredpitch. Retightenthewing
knobbeforeoperatingthesnowthrower.
