merchandise purchased and used in the United States, its
possessions and territories.
No implied warra nty, including any implied warra nty of
m e rc ha nta b ilit y o r fit ne s s fo r a p a rtic ula r p urp o s e ,
a pplie s a fte r the a pplic a ble pe rio d of e xp re s s writ te n
warra nty above as to th e parts as identifie d. No oth er
exp re s s warra nty or guara nty, wheth er writte n or ora l,
e xc e pt a s m e ntio ne d a bove , give n by a ny pe rs on or
entity, including a dealer or re ta iler, with re spect to any
p ro d u c t s h a ll b in d MTD . Du rin g th e p e rio d o f th e
Warra nty, th e exc lusive re medy is re pair or re placement
of th e pro duct as s et forth above . (Some states do not
allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so
the above limitation ma y not apply to you.)
MTD warrants this prod uc t aga inst defects in ma terial and
workmans hip for a period of two (2) years commencing on the
date of original purc ha se and will, at its option, repair or
replace, free of cha rge, any part found to be defective in
material or workmans hip. This limited warranty shall only apply
if this p ro d uc t ha s b e e n op e ra te d a nd ma inta ine d in
accord anc e with the Operator’s Manua l furnis he d with the
p ro d uc t, a nd ha s not b e e n s ub je c t to mis us e , a b us e ,
commercial use, neglect, accident, improper maintenance,
alteration, vandalism, theft, fire, water, or damage because of
other peril or natural disaster. Damage resulting from the
ins tallation or us e of any acces s ory or attachment not
approved by MTD for use with the product(s) covered by this
manual will void your warranty as to any resulting damage.
The pro visions as set forth in th is Warra nty pro vide th e
sole and exc lusive re medy aris ing fro m th e sales. MTD
shall not be liable for incidenta l or consequentia l loss or
d a m a g e s in c lu d in g , w it h o u t lim it a t io n , e xp e n s e s
in c u rre d fo r s u b s tit u te o r re p la c e m e n t la w n c a re
s ervic es , for tra ns porta tio n or for re late d exp ens es , or
for re nta l exp enses to te mpora rily re place a warra nte d
pro duct. (Some states do not allow limitations on how long
an implied warranty lasts , so the above limitation ma y not
apply to you.)
This warranty is limited to ninety (90) days from the date of
original retail purchas e for any MTD product that is used for
re nta l or c omme rc ia l p urp os e s , or a ny othe r inc ome -
producing purpos e.
In no event sha ll recove ry of any kind be gre ater tha n the
amount of the purchase price of the prod uct sold. Alteration
of the safety feature s of the prod uct shall void this Warranty.
You assume the risk and liability for loss, dama ge , or injury

No product returned directly to the factory will be accepted
unless prior written permission has been extended by the
