Install the engine onto the trimmer flex drive
housing. Make sure the flex drive shaft mates
with the square drive of engine. Make sure the
slot in the flex drive housing aligns with the
boss in the clutch cover/starter housing.

Anti-Rotation

Install the anti-rotation screw through clamp and
into boom.
Torque the anti-rotation screw to 15-20 in•lb
(1.7-2.3 N•m).
Torque the nut and bolt of clamp assembly to 70-

Install the throttle control cable and insert it
through the hole in the swivel on carburetor
throttle lever.
Make sure the outer cover of throttle cable seats
in back of the carburetor mount/reed plate.
Adjust the throttle control cable in the swivel for
the full range of throttle travel.
Torque the screw in the swivel to 9-12 in•lb
(1.0-1.4 N•m).
