Stator type charging systems operate by producing alternating current in the stator coils and converting this
current (AC) to direct current(DC). This is done by the bridge rectifier. The alternating current is allowed to flow
out of the rectifier to the battery in only one direction. Figure 55 shows a full wave rectifier. The current pro-
duced in both directions is converted to DC.
