Slide the upper handle section ends over the lower
handle section so that the sections nest together (Fig. 3).
Installing the Fuse
The fuse protects the electric start system. If the battery
does not charge or the engine does not turn with the electric
starter, the fuse may be blown. Use a 40-amp plug-in type
fuse.

Remove the battery box cover (Fig. 5).

Note: Use a flat-head screw driver to unclip the battery
cover (Fig. 6). Unclip both ends of the battery cover
before removing it to prevent damaging it.

Ensure that the cables are routed below and behind the
lower handle section as illustrated in Figure 3.
Secure the upper handle section to the lower handle
section using 2 contoured-handle bolts and 2 knobs
(Fig. 3).
Installing the Starter Rope
Pull the starter rope through the rope guide on the handle
(Fig. 4).
