Charging
4. Connect positive (+) lead of charger to
positive (+) terminal, and negative (-) lead
to negative (-) terminal.

Place unit on a level surface and shut off
engine.
Disconnect negative (-) cable first, then

Charge the battery at two and a half amps
for ten hours.

Reinstall battery into unit and connect
positive (+) cable first, then negative (-)
cable.

Replacing
Use U1R or U1L; 340 to 350 CCA @ 0˚F type
batteries.
STORAGE
LONG TERM
Clean unit thoroughly and lubricate (see
Maintenance). Touch up all scratched painted
surfaces.
Remove weight from wheels by putting blocks
under frame or axle.
When storing unit for extended periods of time,
remove all fuel from tank and carburetor (run
dry). Refer to Engine Manual.

Rules in Safety section before
proceeding.
SHORT TERM
IMPORTANT: NEVER spray unit with water or
store unit outdoors.
Run with attachment clutch engaged a few
minutes after each use to free unit of any
loose or melting snow.
Inspect unit for visible signs of wear, breakage
or damage.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws properly
tightened and know unit is in safe working
condition.
Store unit in a cool, dry protected area.
