.Make sure that the spark plug washer is in good condition and
threadthesparkpluginbyhandtopreventcross-threading.
.Afterthe spark plug is seated,tighten with a spark plug wrench to
compressthewasher.

Ifinstallinganewsparkplug,tighten1/2turnafterthesparkplugseats
tocompressthewasher.Ifreinstallingausedsparkplug,tighten1/8to
1/4
turnafterthesparkplugseats.
Useonlytherecommendedsparkplugsorequivalentplugs.Spark
plugs which have an improper heat range may cause engine
damage.
The spark plug must be securely tightened. An improperly
tightened spark plug can become very hot and may damage the
engine.
