Toro® RM 5000 Series Preventative Maintenance
Traction Unit Lubrication
The traction unit has grease zerks that must be lubricated regularly with N0. 2 General
purpose Lithium grease.
Under normal operating conditions all bearings and bushings should be lubricated every

hours of operation. Lubricate bearings and bushings immediately after every
washings, regardless of the interval listed.
Lubricate the three grease fittings on the engine to transmission drive shaft.
Lubricate the cutting unit lift arm pivots. (One for each cutting unit.)
On units equipped with 4 wheel drive, lubricate the 4wd clutch.
