Engine Will Not Start When “Cold”
Possible Causes
Remedies
Fuel tank is empty
Bad fuel
Fill with clean, fresh, properly-mixed, unleaded fuel
Drain tank and float bowl. Fill the tank with clean, fresh,
unleaded, properly-mixed fuel.
Fuel filter plugged
Replace fuel tank
Air cleaner plugged
Wash and re-oil air cleaner element (DuraForce only)
Remove and replace the spark plug

Check for loose blade, mower only
Check for sheared flywheel key
Fouled spark plug
No spark at spark plug
Insufficient momentum
Incorrect ignition timing
Low compression

Free up and run engine to clean (DuraForce only)
Fix or replace
