Primer malfunction
No fuel in carburetor
Carburetor bolts loose
Mislocated gaskets
Choke not closing fully
Repair or replace as necessary
Add the proper fuel-oil mix
Tighten bolts to 20 - 30 in.lbs. (2.2 - 6.2 Nm)
Loosen bolts, realign gaskets, and tighten
Adjust choke or throttle/choke cable
Engine Runs Rich

Dirty air cleaner
Clean or replace and re-oil air filter element

Dirt in carburetor
Clean carburetor, fuel line and tank
Inspect and correct problem

Adjust choke or throttle/choke cable

Dirt under inlet needle
Remove inlet needle and seat. Then clean or replace
and pressure check.
Bowl vent plugged
Remove bowl and clean with compressed air
Replace float
Float sinking (heavy)
Float stuck (gummed carburetor)
Remove bowl and clean carburetor
