precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock and pers onal injury.
Carefully read and unders tand the entire
operator' s manual before us ing your unit. Pay
clos e attention to the operating instructions and
safety warnings .

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) prote ction
should be provided on the circuit(s) or outle t(s) tha t will
be us ed for the unit. Use receptacles with built-in
GFCI prote ction for an extra me asure of safety.
A data plate on your unit indicates the voltage us ed.
Never conne ct the unit to an AC voltage tha t differs
from this voltage .
•
This snow move r should be ground ed while in us e to
prote ct the op erator from electric shoc k. The snow
move r is equipped with an approve d 3-c ond uctor cord
and 3-p rong ground ing-typ e plug to fit the prop er
ground ing-typ e receptacle. The gre en or gre en/ye llow
cond uctor in the cord is the ground ing wire. Never
conne ct this wire to a live termina l. If your unit is for
us e on less tha n 150 volts , it has a plug tha t looks like
A in the figure below. If it is for us e on 150 to 250
volts , it has a plug tha t looks like D in the figure.
WARNING:
To prevent electric
shock, use only with
an extens ion cord suitable for outdoor use.
•
•
Inspect all extens ion cord s and the unit powe r
conne ction periodically. Look closely for deterioration,
cuts or cracks in the insulation. Also inspect the
conne ctions for dama ge . Repair or replace the cord s if
any defects appear.
When cleaning, inspecting or repairing the unit, make
certain the rotor and all moving parts have stopped.
Disconnect the extens ion cord to prevent accidental
starting.

the switch is off whe n plugging in the unit.
Use only 3-wire outd oor extens ion cord s tha t have 3-
prong ground ing-typ e plugs and 3-p ole receptacles
tha t accept the snow move r’s plug. Replace or repair
damaged cords.

CORD SETS: Please see your dealer for the
appropriate extension cord to use with this product.
Make sure your cord set is in good condition, with a
cord tha t is heavy enough to carry the current tha t
your unit will draw. An und ersized cord set will caus e a
drop in line voltage resulting in a loss of powe r, as well
as overheating. The table shown above illustrates the
corre ct size to us e depending on the cord length and
name plate amp erage rating. If in doub t, us e the next
heavier size line ga uge . The sma ller the ga uge
numb er, the heavier the cord . To prevent the cord
from disconne cting from the unit, us e the cord hook
shown in the Operating Instruc tions .
• Be sure the snow throwe r is not in conta ct with
anything before starting the unit.
•
Stay away from the discharge op ening at all times.
Keep face, hands, and feet away from conc ealed
moving or rota ting parts.
•
Be atte ntive whe n us ing the snow throwe r, and stay
alert for hole s in the terrain and othe r hidden hazards
or traffic.
