Always stop the motor whe n clearing snow is delayed
or whe n walking from one location to anothe r.
Clear snow from slopes by going up and down. Never
go acros s the slope. Use caution whe n changing
directions . Never clear snow from steep slopes.
Disengage power to the rotor when snow thrower is
trans ported or not in use.
After striking a foreign ob ject, turn the unit off and
inspect the snow throwe r for dama ge . Unplug the
unit. Repair dama ge before restarting and op erating
the unit.

Never atte mp t to us e the snow throwe r on a roof or
any steep, inclined, slippery surfaces.
Never op erate snow throwe r without prop er gua rds,
plates or othe r safety prote ctive devices in place.

If the unit should start to vibrate abnorma lly, stop the
unit and check imme diately for the caus e. Vibration is
ge nerally a warning of troub le.
Never op erate the snow throwe r near glass
enclosures, automob iles, truc ks, window wells,
drop offs, etc. without prop er adjustme nt of the snow
discharge angle . Keep children and pets away.
Stop the motor and unp lug the unit whe never you
leave the op erating pos ition, before unc logging the
rotor or discharge vanes, and whe n ma king any
repairs, adjustme nts , or inspections .

Don’t force or ove rload the snow throwe r. The snow
throwe r will perform at its best and safest whe n it is
run at the rate for which it was designe d.

Never discharge snow onto public roa ds or near
moving traffic.

Never op erate the ma chine at high speeds on slippery
surfaces. Look behind and us e care whe n backing up.
Let the snow throwe r run for a few minute s after
clearing snow so moving parts do not freeze.
Never direct discharge towards people or allow anyone
in front of the unit while operating.
Use only origina l equipme nt ma nufa cture r
replaceme nt parts and accessories for this unit. These
are available from your authorize d service dealer. Use
of any una uthorize d parts or accessories could lead to
serious injury to the us er or dama ge to the unit, and
void your warranty.
Wear safety glasses or goggle s tha t are ma rked as
me eting ANSI Z87.1 standards, and ear/he aring
prote ction whe n op erating this unit.

Use the unit only in daylight or good artificial light.
Avoid accidenta l starting. Rema in in the starting
pos ition whe never starting the unit. The op erator and
unit mus t be in a stable pos ition while starting. See
Starting/S top ping Instruc tions .

Do not us e the unit in the hand held pos ition. Do not
pick up the unit whe n it is powe red and running. The
unit is designe d to travel along the ground .

Store the unit in a dry area, locked up or up high to

Always hold the unit with both hands whe n op erating.
Keep a firm grip on handles or grips.

Never dous e or squirt the unit with water or any othe r
liquid. Keep handles dry, clean and free from debris.
Clean after each us e, see Cleaning and Storage
instruc tions .
Keep hands, face, and feet at a distance from all
moving parts. Do not touc h or try to stop the rotor
whe n it is rota ting.

If the rotor will not rota te freely due to froze n ice, tha w
the unit thoroughly before atte mp ting to op erate it
und er powe r.

If the labels on the unit become defaced or start lifting
off, conta ct your authorize d service dealer.

Keep the rotor clear of debris.
Never atte mp t to clear the rotor with the motor
running. Turn the motor off first and unp lug the
extens ion cord .
