STARTING INSTRUCTIONS

you are in the starting pos ition whe n us ing
the snow throwe r. To avoid serious injury,
the op erator and unit mus t be in a stable
pos ition while starting.
You mus t follow this sequence corre ctly to start the unit.

Make sure you have plugge d in the unit.
Press in and hold the red starter button (Fig. 4).
While hold ing the starter button, lift and hold the bail.
NOTE: The unit will NOT start if you fail to press and
hold the starter button until you lift the bail.

Hold the bail and begin op erating the unit (Fig. 5).

Release your hand from the bail.
OVERLOAD PROTECTION SWITCH
The starter button will pop out and the unit will stop .
This unit is equipped with an ove rload prote ction switch
to prote ct the circuit (that the unit is plugge d into) from
short circuit ove rloads.
If the switch pop s out:
1.
Release the bail and allow the unit to stop and cool
for a minute .
2.
Press the ove rload switch to reset. Resume
op eration (Fig. 4).

If the switch pop s aga in shortly after the first time:

Allow the unit to cool for 15 to 30 minute s.
After the unit has coole d, press the ove rload switch
to reset. Resume op eration.

If the switch doe s not stay in, or if it continue s to pop out
during op eration, take the unit to an authorize d service
dealer for repair.
OP ERATING THE UNIT
1.
Start the unit accord ing to the Starting Instruc tions .
The depth and weight of the snow gove rns the
forwa rd speed.

Pus h the unit so that it rides on the wheels and
scraper.

Make sure the power cord is attached to the cord
retainer and res ts on the guide bar. The power cord
should trail to the side of the operator.
