ADJUST CABLE—Unhook spring end from the
top hole in control bar bracket. Slide spring
cover off cable to expose cable adjuster. Unhook
Z fitting from cable adjuster and reposition Z
fitting in a higher or lower hole on adjuster to
obtain proper gap of 1/16”–1/8”. Reinstall spring
cover over cable adjuster. Rehook spring into top
hole of control bar bracket.

CYLINDER/PISTON CARE—Slowly pull
recoil starter until resistance is felt due to
compression pressure, then stop. Release starter

due to compression pressure. This position
closes both the intake and exhaust ports which
prevents corrosion of the cylinder bore.
