Install wheel clutch assembly with the brace shift
plate facing away and up towards housing making
sure collars are correctly installed with the “RIGHT”
and “LEFT” facing inward and the right and left
flanges are facing you (Fig. 165).
19. Attach the shift brace plate to the housing (Fig. 167).

Torque the two intermediate shaft screws to 170 to
300 in-lbs. (19.2 to 33.9 Nm) (Fig. 168).
