Thechokecontrol isfoundontherear of theengineand
isactivatedbyrotatingtheknobclockwise. Activatingthe
chokecontrol closesthechokeplateonthecarburetor
andaidsinstartingtheengine.
Shift Lever
Throttle Control
Theshift lever islocatedontheright
sideof thehandlepanel. Placethe
shift lever intoanyof eight positions
tocontrol thedirectionof travel and
groundspeed.
Thethrottlecontrol islocatedonthe
engine. It regulatesthespeedof the
engineandwill shut off theenginewhen
pusheddowncompletely.
Forward
Primer
Therearesixforward(F) speeds. Posi-
tionone(1) istheslowest andposition
six(6) isthefastest.
Depressingtheprimer forcesfuel directly
intotheengine’scarburetor toaidin
cold-weather starting.
Reverse
Oil Fill
Engineoil level canbecheckedandoil
addedthroughtheoil fill.
Therearetworeverse(R) speeds.
One(1) istheslower andtwo(2) isthe
faster.
