Plug motor ports and clean the outside of the motor
SCRIBE MARK

thoroughly. After cleaning, remove plugs and drain any
oil out of the motor.

Use a marker or scribe to make a diagonal mark
IMPORTANT: Avoid using excessive clamping
pressureonthemotorhousingtopreventdistorting
the housing.

Clamp front flange of motor in a vise with the shaft

Loosen cap screws from the rear cover.
Remove motor from the vise. Turn motor so that the
shaft end is facing down. Remove cap screws.

Remove rear cover from the housing.
