. Drive the roll pins out of the flanges in the front
and rear of the case. (These pins align the top and
bottom parts of the case) (Fig. 010).
5. Push the worm shaft out of the cover. This may
require a little pressure.

To remove the axle, slide the clutch jaw to the side
and drive the roll pin out of the sleeve and axle (Fig.
012).

Remove the 4 self-tapping screw that connect the
top and bottom cases.
Note: If you turn this transmission on its side or
upside down, oil may leak out of the top. This
is not a sealed case.
7. If the axle bearings are to be re-used, clean the end
of the axle before drawing it out of the case.

Remove the sleeve, clutch jaw, helical gear, and
thrust washer (Fig. 013)

. Remove the transmission cover. The shift fork may
come with the cover or may fall into the bottom of
the case (Fig. 011).
