MULTI–PRO and WORKMAN SPRAYERS: Calibration
Sprayer calibration is one of the most important factors
in using sprayers for proper turf maintenance. Proper
calibration will:
S Assure safety for the operator and others who use the
turf.
S Help enhance the environment by getting rid of a pest.
Accurate application has a positive effect on the envi-
ronment. Inaccurate calibration can have a negative
effect (no control, damaged turf, damaged soil).
S Give economical results. Over application wastes
money, under application may require treatment
again.

Centrifugal
Pump
Seal
The centrifugal pump used in the Multi–Pro spray sys-
tem uses a carbon rotating seal and a ceramic station-
ary seal. If the pump is run dry, (even for a short period
of time) extreme head due to friction will damage the
seal, causing it to leak. If run dry, ceramic seals will ap-
pear discolored and carbon seals will be pitted on the
sealing surface.
