CHECK CABLE CONNECTION AND ADJUSTMENT
INSTALL THE DEFLECTOR CHUTE
If traction control cable (A, Figure 5) and auger control cable (B) have be-
come unattached from motor mount frame, reconnect cables.
NOTE: The chute ring assembly (A) comes installed on the unit
from the factory (see Figure 6).
If the cables become stretched, unattached or begin to sag, adjustment will
be necessary. See MAINTENANCE section of this manual.

Install deflector chute (B) and chute ring (C) using four screws (D)
and nuts (E).
NOTE: Make sure the slot in the chute ring aligns with the
arrow on the outer ring as shown.

Tighten screws (D) snugly but be careful not to over-tighten.

The cables were adjusted at the factory and no adjustments should be
necessary. However, after the handles are put in the operating position, the
cables can be too tight or too loose. If an adjustment is necessary, see
“Check and Adjust the Cables” in the MAINTENANCE section.
