Diode Assembly
A diode assembly (Fig. 12) is used in the ProForce De-
bris Blower wire harness (see wire harness drawings in
Chapter 7 -- Electrical Diagrams). The diode allows the
initial current flow to energize or “wake up” the remote
control module.
Testing

nect the negative battery cable from the battery terminal
(see Battery Service in the Service and Repairs section
of this chapter). Position disconnected negative cable
away from the negative battery terminal.
Make sure that ignition switch is OFF.

multimeter (diode test or ohms setting) and the table in
the right column.
Unplug the diode from the wire harness for testing.
The diode (Fig. 13) can be tested using a digital

Aftertestingiscomplete,makesurethatdiodeisfully
installed into machine wire harness connector and se-
cured to harness with cable tie.

Connect negative battery cable to negative battery
terminal. Tighten nut that secures battery cable from 10
to 15 ft--lb(14 to 20 N--m).Make sure that battery cover
is secured.
