Adjust Shift Cables

Park machine on a level surface, stop engine, set

driven clutch to insure transmission is in neutral.
Set the shift lever into the Neutral position. Rotate

The transaxle select lever assembly should be in a
levelpositionandparalleltothecablemountingbracket.

While holding the cable below the lever, tighten the
lock nut on one of the shift cables to allow 0.030” to
(0.8 to 1.5 mm) freeplay in the cable (Fig. 11).

Repeat process for other shift cable.
Pull up on each shift cable to make sure thatfreeplay
