Remove rear attachment from machine.

The engine and exhaust system may be hot. To
avoid possible burns, allow the engine and ex-
haust system to cool before removing engine
from machine.

Remove hitch assembly from the rear of the machine
(see Hitch Assembly Removal in the Service and Re-
pairs section of Chapter 6 – Chassis).

When disconnecting the battery cables from the
battery, make sure to remove the negative (–) bat-
tery cable first and then remove the positive (+)
battery cable.

Disconnect and remove battery from the machine to
prevent the possibility of the engine damaging it during
removal (see Battery Service in the Service and Repairs
section of Chapter 5 – Electrical Systems).

neto terminal.

B. Disconnect harness fusible link from voltage reg-
ulator on engine blower housing.

C. Disconnect harness yellow wire from engine fuel
solenoid lead.

intake manifold. Discard gaskets. Remove and discard

tor. Make sure that all gasket material is removed from
