Adjust Ground Speed (Vehicles Without Transaxle Governor)
Note:
Workman 2100 and 2110 models with serial
numbers above 240000001 are not equipped with a
transaxle governor.Thesemodelsuseanenginegover-
nor for speed control.

Vehiclesoperating atground speeds greaterthan
the recommended speed will require further
distances to fully stop. Do not adjust ground
speed greater than specified.
1.
parking brake, and remove key from the ignition switch.
Raise and latch cargo bed.
Park machine on a level surface, stop engine, set

Lock transaxle into neutral (see Transaxle Neutral
Position in Chapter 1 -- Safety).

Verify engine speed to ensure correct ground speed
as follows:
A. Start engine and hold accelerator pedal to the
floor.
B. Using a tachometer, verify that engine RPM is
3300
RPM with the accelerator pedal to the floor.
C. If engine RPM is incorrect, refer to the Briggs and
Stratton Repair Manual found after Chapter 3 for
governor adjustment procedure.
4.
Lower cargo bed.
