Excessive wear of driveshaft(s).
Transaxle sticks in gear.
Shift fork detent ball stuck.
Shift linkage damaged, loose, or out of adjustment.
Sliding gears tight on shaft splines.
Synchro shift keys damaged.
Transaxle slips out of gear.
Shift linkage out of adjustment.
Gear loose on shaft.
Gear teeth worn.
Excessive end play in gears.
Lack of spring pressure on shift fork detent ball.
Badly worn bearings.
Overheating of transaxle.
Oil level too high.
Excessive hydraulic load.
