Lubrication
The mower should be greased at least after every 25
hours of operation. Lubricate grease fittings using No. 2
multipurpose lithium base grease. A hand operated
grease gun is recommended for best results.
1.
Park mower on a level surface. Make sure engine
is OFF. Remove high tension lead from the spark plug.
2.
Wipe each grease fitting with a clean rag.
IMPORTANT: Do not apply too much pressure or
grease seals will become permanently damaged.
3.
The grease fitting locations are as follows:
A. Both bearing housings for the differential axles,
bothflangettesforthedrumshafts,andtheflangette
on the countershaft housing (Fig. 68).

power shaft (Fig. 69).
4.
Wipe off excess grease.
