NOTE: The wheel motor featured in Figure 44 is the
rear motor. The three wheel motors are identical in
construction except for some minor differences. The
right front and rear wheel motors have reverse timed
manifolds, and the front left motor does not. The end
cover of the rear motor has a check valve consisting of
a ball and spring, and both front motors lack this feature.
IMPORTANT: If a wheel motor failure occurred, refer
to Traction Circuit (Closed Loop) Component Fail-
ure in the General Information section for informa-
tion
regarding
the
importance
of
removing
contamination from the traction circuit.
NOTE: For repair of the wheel motors, see the Ross
MG, MF, ME, and MJ Series Service Pro-
cedure at the end of this chapter.
