Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting units,

stop engine, engage parking brake, and remove key
from the ignition switch.

A. Place shim (3/8” to 7/16” thick) on top of frame
(both RH and LH sides) near the sides of oil cooler
(Fig. 14).
B. Close hood so that it rests on shims and fasten
the hood latches.
C. Loosen hood pivots at frame to adjust vertical
placement of pivots. Re−tighten hood pivot fasten-
ers.
D. Loosen screen pivots to allow hood latches to pull
hood against radiator support. Re−tighten screen
pivot fasteners.
3.
After hood is assembled to machine, check for the
following:
A. Check that bulb seals are equally compressed at
all contact points with hood.
B. Hood should open and close without contacting
oil cooler hardware.
