IMPORTANT: Make sure to not damage the oil seal
on the differential with the pry bars when removing
the CV axle.

Use two small pry bars (180o apart) to leverage the
CV axle out  of the differential. Use  even pressure on
both pry bars (Fig. 2).

Pull CV axle through opening in knuckle and remove
from vehicle.

tokeepaxleengaged  indifferential.Theouterendofthe
axle has threads for the spindle nut (item 1).

to the differential to make sure that the axle is prop-
erly secured into the differential.

Place wheel spacer (item 10) onto CV axle.

WARNING
Failure to maintain proper wheel lug nut torque
could result in failure or loss of wheel and  may
result in personal injury. Torque wheel lug nuts
from 80 to 90 ft--lb (109 to 122 N--m).

Make sure  that wheel  lug nuts  are properly tight-
ened.
