Transaxle Disassembly

NOTE: Item numbers in figures are shown in order of
disassembly; for example, remove item 1 first, then item
2,
etc.assembletransaxleinreverseorder;forexample,
install item 1 last.

(item 2) and remove bell housing assembly from trans-
axle.
Remove extension spring (item 1).
Loosen and remove nine (9) flange head screws

Thoroughly clean outside surface of transaxle.

Loosen flange head screws (items 1 and 2) and re-
move fork shaft case (item 3) from center plate. Note
location of longer flange head screw (item 1). Be careful
when removing cover as steel balls inside are spring
loaded.

(item 2) and spindle (item 1) can be removed.
Hold your hand over the area and shift R--1 and 2--3
