tools may also be available from a local supplier.
Multimeter
The multimeter can test electrical components and cir-
cuits for current, resistance, or voltage. Obtain this tool
locally.
NOTE: Toro recommends the use of a DIGITAL Volt−
Ohm−Amp multimeter when testing electrical circuits.
The high impedance (internal resistance) of a digital me-
ter in the voltage mode will make sure that excess cur-
rent is not allowed through the meter. This excess
current can cause damage to circuits not designed to
carry it.

Skin−Over Grease
Special non−conductive grease (Toro Part Number
505−165)
which forms a light protective skin to help wa-
terproof electrical switches and contacts.

Battery Terminal Protector
Battery Terminal Protector (Toro Part No. 107−0392) is
an aerosol spray that should be used on battery termi-
nals to reduce corrosion problems. Apply terminal pro-
tector after battery cable has been secured to battery
terminal.
